5. What was Megan’s life like all those years without Huw? Was it sad and empty or was it full and satisfying?

At first, Megan waited for some letters from Huw, but when they didn't arrive, she started to try to forget Huw. She started to work in a hotel, and then she decided to reopen the coal mine, which was already closed, to the tourists.
Before receiving the letters Huw sent her from Toronto, Megan had got engaged to a man she had met while she was working on the mine, and she was quite happy with it.
However, Huw's letter made her think about coming back to Huw.
